ay – summer is almost here! Vacations and fun in the sun are on the horizon. Don’t forget, though, that there’s still graduation season. Many students will soon graduate from their high schools and colleges. If your child is one of them, consider gifting them cosmetic dentistry for their upcoming ceremonies. As for what kind, your Orange dentists have a few ideas. Here are three cosmetic dental services that’ll make a student’s smile shine for graduation.
Teeth Whitening
Of course, an obvious choice for your soon-to-be graduate is teeth whitening. This option would ensure their grin is nice and bright for the big day.
For example, there’s always in-office whitening with Opalescence Boost®. The latter is a chemically-activated gel that, when used by a dentist, can remove tough tooth stains. As a result, the treatment produces a smile six to eight shades whiter in less than an hour!

Put simply, porcelain veneers are thin shells that dentists place on teeth. Their main use is hiding various smile flaws – stains, chips, cracks, and misalignments. Thanks to their high-grade porcelain, treated teeth look beautiful and blend seamlessly with the rest of your smile. In exchange, though, the chompers have bits of their enamel removed.
If your student wants veneers with less prep work, Lumineers can work too. They don’t remove any enamel for placement and are highly durable.
Invisalign Clear Braces
Lastly, Invisalign clear braces might help your graduate too. Its aligners work well at correcting crooked teeth.
If you don’t already know, Invisalign uses plastic trays to align and straighten teeth gradually. These “aligners” apply force onto each tooth, ensuring your smile slowly reaches the correct position. You’ll then enjoy a fully straight grin in roughly a year or so.
Invisalign does, however, require more planning for use at graduation. Your student should begin treatment 10-12 weeks beforehand to see results for the occasion.
