Dental Implants
Dental implants are one of the most popular and long-lasting ways to replace a missing tooth or teeth. Implants begin with a titanium post which is placed into your jaw where the roots of your tooth used to be. This post is topped with a porcelain crown, effectively restoring your biting surface.
See our page about implants for more information on this process.
Bone Grafts
When teeth are missing, the bone around that area begins to deteriorate. This can also be caused by disease. However, it is necessary to have a certain amount of bone in order to successfully implant a titanium rod.
When the bone has deteriorated too much for implants, we are able to do a bone graft. This graft builds up the bone in the area, so we can eventually place that implant post.
Sinus Lift
The maxillary sinuses are two large spaces near your nose. They reach all the way down toward your upper jaw. In the case of significant bone deterioration, they may even come too close to your jaw to allow for upper-tooth implants.
A sinus lift is a procedure that grafts bone in between the jaw and the sinus cavity, allowing that area to gain enough density and thickness to secure upper implant posts.
Palatial Expansions
Palate expansion is a surgery that helps us to align your upper and lower jaw for a proper fit. Sometimes the lower jaw is wider than the upper, which can cause several complications with biting, chewing, and muscle tension. Expanding the palate alleviates that discrepancy.
Nobel Biocare™ All-on-4®
Implants can be used for both singular tooth replacements and full-mouth restorations. One method of doing this full replacement is the All-on-4® method. Four implant rods are placed in strategic locations around the mouth. From these posts, a set of dentures will be securely and permanently anchored. This prevents any slippage due to adhesive failure.
