The root canal procedure follows these steps:
- Dr. Michelsen will administer local anesthetic around the tooth, along with oral sedation if needed.
- The infected pulp is removed, and the root and inside of the tooth get a deep cleaning to clear away any bacteria.
- Once the tooth is completely dry, the open area is filled with synthetic tooth replacement.
- The last step is to get a crown ready for you that will blend in with your natural teeth.

We have a CEREC machine in office, and after your root canal, you can have a permanent crown ready for you in the same appointment. We offer crowns with a natural look and fit, so no one can tell you have a crown in your mouth.
