Dr. Renu Michelsen

Dr. Renu Michelsen – Dr. Michelsen knew at a young age that she wanted to grow up and have a job that allowed her to help people, and developed a passion for science early on. Then, during college, she spent time working at a dental office and realized that she valued the compassionate, trusting relationships established between the doctor and their patients, and decided to pursue her own dental career.

Dr. Michelsen began her education at the University of California, where she earned an undergraduate degree in chemistry and biology. She went on to achieve her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) advanced degree from the prestigious University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. Immediately afterward, she began practicing in an underserved community, focusing specifically on children.

Since then, Dr. Michelsen has remained committed to continuing education and has completed courses with organizations like SPEAR Education and has earned certificates in various topics, such as Invisalign, CEREC one-visit dental crowns, and laser therapy.

When she’s not at work, helping protect and preserve your smile, Dr. Michelsen enjoys spending time with her husband and three very active, athletic children. You might find them hanging out at the beach, paddleboarding, or hiking together.

Dr. Parth Karia

Dr. Parth Karia – Dr. Karia was board and raised in Southern California, and initially studied biochemistry and cell biology at the University of California, San Diego. While he was there, he volunteered with free dental clinics in the area, and realized he wanted to pursue a career in dentistry.

After graduating, Dr. Karia then earned a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences from Midwestern University before achieving his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona. Then, he moved to the East Coast to complete a Stony Brook University General Practice Residency.

But Dr. Karia didn’t stop his education there! He also successfully completed an Endodontics specialty residency at Temple University in Philadelphia, and today, he still volunteers, teaching dental residents.

Dr. Karia also enjoys giving back to the community and was the Clinic Coordinator for 2 years at the Riverside Free Dental Clinic to offer specialty endodontic care to underserved communities. He was also one of only 2 residents selected to attend an International Outreach Dental Mission Trip to Jamaica.

In his free time, Dr. Karia enjoys visiting his family in Southern California, and his fluent in three languages: Spanish, Hindi, and Gujarati.

Dr. D. Reed Dickinson

Dr. Reed Dickinson – Dr. Reed is a highly accomplished, board-certified oral & maxillofacial surgeon with a passion for helping improve patient’s lives by addressing even the most complex cases. He graduated with a DDS from Columbia University, College of Dental Medicine in New York, and then earned his medical degree and completed his oral & maxillofacial surgery residency at the UC San Francisco School of Medicine.

Today, Dr. Reed is certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, representing the highest level of professional achievement in this specialty. His clinical interests include orthognathic surgery (corrective jaw treatment), dentoalveolar surgery, and anesthesia. His unique combination of dental and medical knowledge allows him to provide comprehensive services for complex surgical cases.

Dr. Reed enjoys spending his free time with his wife and daughters, and is an avid Boston sports fan. You might also find him enjoying a strategic game of chess or catching a wave surfing, boarding, or tubing.
