Background and Credentials
Dr. Reed is a board-certified oral & maxillofacial surgeon with Alliance Dental Services in Santa Ana, CA. He completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Columbia University, College of Dental Medicine in New York. Dr. Reed then continued his medical education at the UC San Francisco School of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree and completed his residency in oral & maxillofacial surgery. His comprehensive training included an internship in general surgery followed by advanced specialty training in oral & maxillofacial surgery, all completed at UCSF.
Dr. Reed’s clinical interests include dentoalveolar surgery, anesthesia, and orthognathic surgery (corrective jaw surgery). He is board-certified in oral & maxillofacial surgery by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS), a distinction that represents the highest level of professional achievement in his specialty. Dr. Reed maintains membership in several professional organizations including the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and California Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Reed is passionate about providing exceptional surgical care to his patients while utilizing the latest techniques and technologies in oral and maxillofacial surgery. His dual training in both dentistry and medicine allows him to provide comprehensive treatment for complex surgical cases.
Outside The Office
Outside of his practice, Dr. Reed is married and the proud father of two young girls. He is an avid Boston professional sports fan and enjoys staying active through surfing, skiing, wake surfing and boarding, tubing, and fishing. He also enjoys the strategic challenge of playing chess and treasures quality time with his family.
